At Heart Horse we believe every animal is a teacher. Our horses, dogs, cats and our little pig live in freedom and in community — and when you visit, they become your travel companions.

There are eight of them and each one has a name, a story and a personality of their own. They live in freedom, graze in open pastures and are trained with natural horsemanship. They are sensitive, honest and present — and that is exactly what makes them such powerful teachers.

Los gatos del rancho hacen lo que mejor saben: aparecer cuando menos lo esperas y quedarse justo el tiempo que necesitas. Son expertos en el arte de la presencia sin exigencia. Se mueven con libertad por todo el santuario y tienen sus rincones favoritos que a veces comparten con sus visitantes más afortunados.

The ranch cats do what they know best: appearing when you least expect it and staying for exactly as long as you need them. They are masters of the art of presence without demand. They roam freely across the sanctuary and have favorite corners they occasionally share with their luckiest visitors.

Barb is the undisputed queen of the ranch. Tender, independent and with a personality that fills the space, she steals your heart within the first five minutes. She does what she wants, when she wants — and that's exactly why everyone loves her. A visit to Heart Horse without meeting Barb simply isn't complete.
